Meet Chloe, the heart behind The Hand That Helps

Learn about Chloe's journey, her passion for support, and how she’s dedicated to helping individuals and families thrive in Birmingham and beyond.

My journey to The Hand That Helps

Hi, I’m Chloe, a 33-year-old mum to two wonderful sons. My new venture, The Hand That Helps, brings together years of experience from various caring and support-focused roles. I currently work within a mental health crisis team, supporting both children and adults. Five years ago, this role was specifically within an autism team, but due to increasing demand, it expanded to support a broader range of mental health crises.

Beyond the ordinary

This is where our journey begins.

I believe support is about more than just daily tasks—it’s about building confidence, promoting independence, and helping people feel valued. By taking the time to understand each individual’s needs and goals, I provide compassionate, person-centred support that makes a meaningful difference.

Why I love helping families and individuals

I believe everyone deserves support, encouragement, and someone who genuinely cares. Seeing people grow in confidence, gain independence, and improve their wellbeing is what motivates me every day. This inspiration drives the work I do through The Hand That Helps, fostering a community where everyone feels valued and supported.

Our approach

At The Hand That Helps, we believe that every individual deserves compassionate, person-centred support that respects their dignity, choices, and independence. We take the time to understand each person’s unique needs, goals, and circumstances, providing tailored support that promotes wellbeing, confidence, and a fulfilling everyday life.

Our approach is built on trust, consistency, respect, and genuine care, ensuring every individual feels valued, heard, and supported.

Who I support at The Hand That Helps

I am passionate about supporting adults, young people, and families who need a helping hand to navigate everyday life. Whether someone is experiencing mental health challenges, recovering from difficult circumstances, building confidence and independence, or simply needs reliable support, I am committed to helping them feel empowered, valued, and supported every step of the way.

Practical support and advice I offer

I provide personalised practical support to help individuals live more independently and confidently in their daily lives. This may include attending appointments, accessing the community, shopping and errands, developing daily routines, building life skills, and working towards personal goals. I also offer companionship, emotional wellbeing support, and encouragement to help individuals stay connected, build confidence, and maintain their independence. Every support plan is tailored to the individual’s unique needs, preferences, and aspirations.

"Chloe's dedication and genuine care shine through in every interaction. She truly makes a difference in people's lives."
